Ok, I admit I’m one of those people—I’m still using AS2! So to lessen my pain of converting to AS3, I’m going to attend FITC’s Get Off Your Ass and Start Using AS3 Already! presentation. Thankfully they’re providing source files so that I can copy and paste to my heart’s content. I’m kidding… I WILL learn the basics of AS3 so that I can write it myself! I promise. (But I’ll probably still copy and paste. Just a little.)

Another presentation that sounds promising is Dame Judy Dench Could Kick My Mother’s Ass. (Seriously, I’m not making up these names.) The title alone makes me want to see their presentation. They will be discussing how they designed and executed the main titles and smart table sequences for the James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. I’ve always enjoyed the main title sequences in the Bond movies I’ve seen, so it will be interesting to know what their design process is!

There are a whole slew of other presentations that sound amazing and I’m so grateful to FITC for giving away 100 tickets to females. Two more days ‘til FITC!

BTW, have you seen FITC’s website redesign? Much improved, but the harsh cropping on the background images isn’t my favourite.
