Great new lecture series
So I’ve come across this great new lecture series hosted by sLab (Strategic Innovation Lab) at OCAD (The Ontario College of Art & Design). Being an avid follower of the Obama campaign, the recent lecture on Innovation within the Obama Campaign was both eye-opening and inspirational (what do you expect from a man that made history this week).
The presenters Scott Thomas (http://thepostfamily.com/, http://www.simplescott.com/, www.twitter.com/simplescott) and Rahaf Harfoush (http://www.rahafharfoush.com/blog/, www.twitter.com/unfinishedbiz) did a great job articulating how they used design, social media and networking to help drive the outcome we saw come to fruition on Tuesday.
I would highly recommend attending these lectures as it is a great way to network with colleagues in the industry, get a fresh perspective and generate some creativity and innovation.
The next event hosted by sLab is on February 11 with Larry Keeley, President of Doblin in Chicago, who will talk about open innovation, platform innovation and what it means to work from a disciplined approach to innovation. Hope to see you there!
