In 2007 Design Lab installed a 12 panel solar array on the roof of our building which enjoys sun from dawn until dusk. This coupled with new, energy efficient computers and lighting provides more than enough power to run all of the technology in our office - our computers, servers, laptops, projectors, screens, stereo system, lights and more.
All of the work we do is therefore "off grid" and comes from power from the sun. That's something both us, and our clients, can feel good about!

- participated in the 20-minute Toronto makeover on April 18, 2008 and April 24, 2009 - where everyone stops what they're doing at 2pm to clean up around their office/school etc.

- Solar Power panels on our roof:
- On days when we're not in the office, the excess power is fed back into the grid and is powering the computer that you're reading this on.
- On cloudy days our solar panels still generate power and at night we use power from the grid.
- Overall we are still a net producer of power!
